An exclusive design for Òr, this wall sconce is part of our exciting collaboration with Pantry Pots and our founder Jen Pearson.
We're always on the lookout for wonderful new makers and when we saw the beautiful ceramics created by Veronika at Pantry Pots, we just knew they'd be perfect for our collection.
Jen and Veronika worked closely together to create the unique gorse design, taking inspiration from Skye and its surrounding glens, crofts and Scottish island flora. After sending pages of inspiration, ideas and sketches, both decided that this delicate flowering gorse design would best suit Veronika's painterly illustrations.
A warm mustard yellow was chosen for the design, reminiscent of spring and summer days but equally the transition into autumn with its association with harvest-time, or Lùnastal as we call it in Gaelic.
Veronika hand-throws every stoneware sconce from her studio in London then expertly paints the design on each piece by hand.
Both functional and beautiful, this sconce is perfect for displaying as an artwork in itself or for lighting one of our four-inch small stubby beeswax candles.
You can find more items in the Pantry Pots collection over on our collaboration page or on our journal.
Measures W13 x D17cm. Dust and clean by hand to preserve longevity.
As every piece is handmade, there will be slightly variations in form and style which only adds to their unique charm. All are sold individually.
Please note the sconce doesn't come with the candle or ribbon. We recommend a warm mustard, green or rust colour ribbon to complement the sconce's design or even twine for a more rustic look.
