We're hosting in-person events and workshops at our stores on the Isle of Skye where you can learn new skills, chat to makers, and celebrate our milestones with us. We'd love to see you there!
Make a Set of Skye Ceramic Bothies with Potter Catriona Archibald
Date: Saturday 29th August 2026
Time: 3pm-6pm

We're so excited to welcome you to our bothy making workshop with Skye local Catriona Archibald.
During this three-hour workshop, you'll have the chance to create a village of miniature bothies, hand-built and shaped with stoneware clay. You'll learn a series of decorative techniques to make each of your bothies unique, as well as have a choice of glaze colours for the roof.
All materials will be provided on the day, as well as homemade treats, drinks and a few little gifts curated by the Òr team.

Hand-paint a Plate with Ceramicist Catriona Archibald
Date: Sunday 30th August 2026
Time: 3pm-6pm
Place: The Studio, Portree, Isle of Skye, IV51 9BT
Join us for a slow Sunday afternoon of painting a beautiful floral plate with Skye local Catriona Archibald.
During this three-hour workshop, you'll use reference texts, illustrations and inspiration from Skye to hand-paint your plate using a choice of underglaze colours. The workshop will begin with drawing onto paper before translating your unique design onto your porcelain plate, all with Catriona's expert advice.
All materials will be provided on the day, as well as homemade treats, drinks and gifts curated by the Òr team. We can't wait to see you there!

Online Workshop Landscape Collage with Artist Eve Tong
Date: Sunday 27th September 2026

Place: Online Zoom Remote Workshop
Join our remote workshop online with artist Eve Tong.
We're thrilled to invite you to our afternoon of collaging on Sunday 27th September.
This remote online workshop will be led by Eve Tong, one of our wonderful Scottish artists here at Òr. Eve works from her studio in Edinburgh creating beautiful watercolour paintings of her hikes through the Highlands, all captured in miniature prints.
Eve will be leading this online painting and collaging workshop, and all the materials will be provided and sent to you in advance so you can create your very own art inspired by the landscapes of our Misty Isle.
