We're hosting in-person events and workshops at our stores on the Isle of Skye where you can learn new skills, chat to makers, and celebrate our milestones with us. We'd love to see you there!

Join us for Books & Roses Day!
Here at Òr and Waystone Books we've teamed up to curate a thoughtful selection of book and rose gifts in our stores between 23rd-25th April. It's a small way to celebrate love and literature, where novels and flowers are exchanged between family and friends.
With every purchase made, 10% will go towards book and art supplies at Portree High School.
In each gift set you'll find:
- A book specially chosen by Waystone, with a variety of genres to choose from
- A fresh rose
- Waystone bookmark
- Òr card which you can use in store to donate a further 10% of your next purchase to our local school
- All beautifully wrapped in ribbon ready to gift

Coastal Drawing & Monoprinting

We're thrilled to invite you to our coastal-inspired drawing and monoprinting workshop with Scottish artist Louisa Katherine Thomson!
During this three-hour workshop, you'll begin with some coastal-inspired drawing to get your creativity flowing. Later, you'll transform these drawings into a concertina artist sketchbook which you can refer back to.
Next, you'll be creating unique monoprints from your drawings, all inspired by finds from the Scottish shore. Monoprinting is where ink is applied to a smooth, non-absorbent surface, then transferred onto paper to create a one-off print.
Louisa will be providing all the paper, drawing materials and beachcombed items you need for the workshop.
Alongside the printing, we'll have plenty of homemade bakes and drinks to indulge in, free gifts to take home, and the company of like-minded creatives to enjoy!
