This handmade linocut print is by Nicole Levy from the printmaking practice Prints by the Bay. Nicole is an illustrator and printmaker from Dorset who explores connections between people and place in her work. This hand carved linocut print is inspired by adventures of outdoor swimming, evoking the feeling of an early morning sea swim and how it can rejuvenate and revitalise the soul.
Due to the handmade nature there may be tiny variations to the picture- be this colour, evenness of ink or other small differences. The prints are designed, made, pressed and pulled in Nicole's studio in West Dorset, UK.
Printed on finest recycled paper with oil based ink. The ink is handmixed so will differ from edition to edition. The paper being handmade also will very in colour. Nicole uses Lokta paper which handmade cotton rag paper from Nepal. It’s a beautifully textured paper, and can range from a darker, beige colour to a lighter off white colour.
A4.Prints come packaged flat on board wrapped in cellophane or rolled in a tube.
