Small Ebonised Cherry Spoon

Crafting from her workshop in Scotland's rural Dumfries and Galloway, Rachel makes unique wooden furniture and objects from the naturally abundant timber. 

These spoons will bring rustic, handmade functionality to your kitchen, perfect for using with salt, pepper, honey or spices. Each is handmade and carved completely from sustainably sourced cherry wood which is then covered with an iron solution that reacts to the tannins in the wood to create its rich black lustre. 

Rachel sources all of her wood directly from the region she lives in, which is mostly storm blown, naturally air-dried hardwood. She feels proud to hold that connection to the land and a real sense of sustainability in the material she uses.

Finished with a food safe natural blend of wax and oil for longevity.

Sold individually and measures approximately W4.5 x L10.5cm. 

Each spoon is completely made by hand which means it has its own personality, with slight variations in size and shape.
