This beautiful dish is thoughtfully crafted by Nottingham-based ceramist Naomi Grace in her garden studio. Naomi uses the skilful sgraffito technique to create a work of art in its own right – it would make a wonderful, special gift to a loved one or for using as a trinket dish for your special jewels. 

Derived from the Italian term 'to scratch', sgraffito is a decorative method where time is taken to carefully etch away a layer of coloured slip glaze, revealing the natural stoneware clay underneath – it's a similar style to relief lino printing for artists. Naomi slowly etches her beautiful, original designs into every stoneware dish by hand, using her very own homemade coloured slip for decorating. 

Measures approximately 9-10cm diameter and 1.5cm tall.

As every dish is completely handmade, no two will be exactly the same in terms of size, shape and design, which only adds to their unique charm.
