Rowan Berry Alter Wall Hanging

£38.00

This beautifully hand-sculpted and hand-painted wall hanging alter is an exclusive collaboration between our founder Jen and talented Skye-based maker Catriona Archibald.

Catriona makes homewares and jewellery from her studio in the north-west of the island and uses porcelain ceramic to create this alter for the season.

In Scottish Gaelic culture, rowan berries are symbolic, especially at Christmas when traditionally a rowan branch was burned to cleanse the air of negativity in the build up to the festivities.

We recommend pairing with a length of velvet green ribbon and our mini set of three bothies to create a little Skye village scene on the alter.

As every alter is handmade, no two will look exactly the same which only adds to their unique charm.

Measures approximately H12 x W10 x D3cm.
