Philippa who used to live and work on the island recently moved to Bristol. Still making regular trips back to Skye for inspiration and to see family.
The relief printing process involves carving a block, usually from lino or wood, then printing the layers individually with a printing press. This is a varied edition, meaning each image has been worked into by hand during printing. The colour can vary slightly from print to print due to the ink being hand mixed.
