Crescent Ridge is a limited-edition print born from our collaboration with the incredibly talented artist Hannah Farthing.
We discovered her work shortly after she completed her MA in illustration at the Edinburgh College of Art in 2021. Though originally from Suffolk, Hannah has an everlasting love for the Scottish landscape describing it as her 'greatest source of inspiration'. This deep-rooted connection to Scotland can be seen in her Crescent Ridge print which was inspired by an early autumn evening watching the moon rise over the Cuillin Ridge in the Isle of Skye.
This original linocut is carved and printed completely by hand onto paper made sustainably in Britain. This particular piece is a reduction linocut, which is a technique where the artist carves away more of the linoleum to achieve multiple layers of colour. Hannah mixes all of the inks for her prints herself which makes each one truly unique.
This limited-edition print is hand signed by the artist and printed onto G F Smith Colourplan 270gsm paper. Measuring 40 x 49.6cm, A2. Print comes unframed, rolled in a tube or packaged in eco-friendly bio cellophane sleeves.
Due to the handmade nature of the print, it may vary a little in colour and have slight imperfections which add to the individuality and uniqueness of each print.
