Crafted at home in the Cotswolds by independent artist Sophie Elm, Brialli – which is the Cornish name for primroses – is a one-colour original lino print. 

Every print is burnished by hand using a wooden baren and spoon then printed with oil based inks to create a vibrant colour and ensure its longevity. Each is printed onto textured Japanese Okawara paper with a beautiful mix of deckled and torn edges. 

Sophie's work always has a strong horticultural connection, from spades and greenhouses to dahlias and radishes, or in this case primrose flowers. She's keenly aware of seasonal changes in the garden and the English countryside around her, which translates to her work.

Every print is signed by the artist.
