Made in a medium or large size, these cups are the ideal for sipping your favourite morning tea or coffee.
Each is made from a creamy white stoneware and hand-finished with a bold brushstroke of Edinburgh clay. The decorative clay slip is a unique formula harvested and made in Scotland by the ceramacist Julija Pustovrh of Emporium Julium.
Julija even made the brushes for decorating the cups using different types of grass collected on her wanders around Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh, instilling these ceramics with a strong sense of place.
The cups are unglazed on the outside to preserve the natural colour and texture of the clay while the inside features a transparent glaze for smoothness.
Due to the handmade process, each cup is completely unique, with different size and shape brushstrokes decorating the sides. A finish which only adds to their charm.
The Medium measures approximately 6 x 8cm, and the Large 7 x 9cm. Contains around 125-150ml. Sold individually.
They are food and dishwasher safe, but we recommend washing them by hand to preserve their finish.
